Travel & Lodging

During Orientation you have two primary lodging options as a first-year student; you can opt to stay overnight on campus for a small fee or find lodging at a hotel near campus. Please ensure you have fully completed registration in a program before booking any travel.

Staying Overnight (optional)

As a first-year student attending our BroncoVenture Orientations in the summer, we encourage you to stay overnight in Chaffee Hall, our largest first-year residence hall. The cost for staying overnight is minimal compared to area hotels and includes breakfast on the second morning of orientation. Experience living on campus first-hand and meet other students starting college for their first-time too. For more on overnight pricing, visit our Dates & Cost section.

Staying overnight on campus is not available to parents and families. We recommend families find lodging at hotels near campus. Review hotel options below.

Hotels Near Campus

Our close proximity to downtown Boise gives you plenty of great hotel options to choose from. When you contact the hotel, tell them you are coming to Boise State for your BroncoVenture Orientation to secure the best pricing.

Traveling to Campus

Orientations are held in the Student Union Building on the Boise State main campus. You’ll find Boise State University between Broadway Avenue and Capital Boulevard, just a short distance from Interstate 84 and less than 4 miles from the Boise Airport. The Student Union Building is located at 1700 University Drive, Boise, ID 83725.

Free parking will be available to you and your guests during Orientation. Please check your primary contact email and your Broncomail email accounts one week prior to your Orientation for information about where to park on campus for free. Free parking will only be available in areas designated by BroncoVenture Orientation staff.
